Lady Hide
Artist, Designer, and Identity Creator in the Nautical World
Lady Hide is an Italian artist and designer whose practice lies at the intersection of contemporary art, functional design, and luxury yachting. Born in Sicily in 1985 and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2007, she developed an international career exploring disciplines such as painting, sculpture, writing, and design before focusing on the world of high-end yachts.
Artistic Identity and Visual Language
Lady Hide conceives art as an act of transformation and dialogue with matter, space, and function. Her approach is not merely aesthetic: each work and project arises from a sensorial experiment in which sensitivity, gesture, and narrative intertwine. Her paintings are characterized by the use of vibrant colors and geometric shapes, while her sculptures explore contrasting materials and expressive depth.
Nautical Design and Applied Functionality
In parallel to her artistic work, Lady Hide has founded a design project for the luxury nautical sector through the brand Atelier Lady Hide, part of the Maritime Over Group. In this field, she specializes in:
* Custom furnishings for yachts and superyachts
* Customized interior and exterior elements
* Integrated solutions combining nautical function and aesthetic language
* Non-serial products conceived as components of onboard architecture
The 2026 catalog presented by the brand reflects this vision: unique objects designed to integrate with the spaces of a boat, combining noble materials, advanced technologies, and careful construction.
International Presence and Atelier
According to industry publications such as SuperYacht24, Lady Hide recently opened a new showroom in the heart of the yachting scene in Viareggio (Tuscany), intended to serve as an international creative hub for clients, owners, and maritime professionals.
Conceptual Approach
At the heart of her practice is a profound design philosophy:
Transforming functionality into culture and form
Elevancing technical function without concealing it
Choosing materials for performance and narrative
Defining luxury as coherence, time, and meaning, not ostentation
This makes Lady Hide not just a visual artist, but a creator of spatial and material languages that engage with the nautical industry, design culture, and the sensorial experience of use.
In short
Lady Hide is:
* a painter and sculptor with roots in contemporary art
* a designer working on luxury yacht design systems
* a narrator of matter, form, and function
* a point of reference for those seeking visual and cultural coherence in nautical design
Yacht Beach Setup & Custom Yacht Fender
In the exclusive world of luxury yachting, every detail is a loving gesture toward perfection. The gleaming surfaces, the harmonious lines, the scent of the sea merging with that of fine materials: everything speaks of balance, passion, and the pursuit of excellence. In this context, even the most discreet protection takes on a starring role, transforming from a simple technical necessity into a symbol of style and ingenuity.
Lady Hide's patented yacht protections are born from a precise vision: to create a product capable of combining advanced technology, Italian craftsmanship, and custom design in a perfect harmony of form and function.
Each piece is the result of a creative journey that begins with listening to the client—the owner and their boat—and translates into a unique, tailor-made creation, crafted with the care and sensitivity of those who know the sea and respect its essence.
Behind every protection lies a story of expert hands: artisans who shape innovative technical materials with the same dedication with which a tailor sews a haute couture dress. The stitching, the finishes, the color choices aren't details, but statements of identity. Each element speaks the language of intelligent luxury—the kind that doesn't need to be ostentatious, because it's perceived in its quality, precision, and durability
Sculpture
Her approach is based on experimentation and research into new art forms, enhancing the uniqueness of each piece.
The artist focuses on the use of sustainable materials - her art is an expression of freedom and creativity.
Enveloped in the breath of the sea, the artwork takes shape as a dialogue between nature and matter, an invitation to reflect on the fragility and strength of Corallium rubrum. Created with a mixed media technique and covered with coral scraps provided by the Assocoral Association, it becomes a symbol of rebirth and protection, transforming what was once discarded into a testament to beauty and respect.
The hands, sculpted from blocks of polystyrene and coated with a non-toxic elastomer, seem to emerge from the silence, reaching toward the sphere that encapsulates the essence of the sea. The sphere, modeled in resin and natural colors, is entirely covered in coral rubrum, pulsating with light and memory.
The cold and heavy, unpolished stainless steel handcuffs interrupt the poetry of the form, recalling the imprisonment of modern man in the face of wounded nature. The steel base, also coated in resin and coral, supports and roots the artwork, like a submerged land that protects and sustains marine life.
The mesh finishes evoke the calcareous texture of coral, its secret, fragile, and perfect architecture: a web of life demanding protection, a message of balance between man and the sea.
